Welcome to the 7th year of the FIU Faculty Mentoring Program! This academic year we continued our partnerships with the Colleges of Arts, Sciences & Education, Engineering & Computing, and the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, as well as the pision of Research, in order to bring you an expanded assortment of speakers and workshops.

Faculty Mentor Program Orientation Workshops will focus on how to benefit from being and having a mentor. This program is aimed primarily at providing tenure-earning assistant professors with a faculty mentor from outside of her/his home department. To the extent possible, we will attempt to provide a mentor or mentoring opportunities for associate professors and instructors.
The orientation will provide an opportunity for networking and explain the responsibilities of both mentors and mentees. You're encouraged to come even i you have attended a mentor orientation in the past. We would like you to meet new members adn participate in mentoring or peer mentoring for those who are not able to join their partners.

We will have a CAPS representative that will address how to handle harassment and discrimination in a university setting.
